A Double Bill line up of Emma Langford (Limerick) & Sara Ryan (Cork). Emma Langford (Limerick) and Sara Ryan (Cork) have joined forces to bring their award-winning original music to venues all over the island of Ireland this spring. Kildare-born songwriter, now based in Cork City, Sara Ryan has built a strong and loyal following having toured with Mick Flannery, Martin Harley, John Spillane, Wally Page, Luka Bloom and Cry Monster Cry. The emerging artist was noted for her contribution to Cork's musical history in Hot Press Magazine and was awarded New Artist of the Year at the Irish Folk Music Awards in 2017. Sara's much-anticipated Debut EP â€Å“Glitter Skiesâ€Â was released in March this year, following the release in February of her widely praised single, Euphoric Recall. A folk guitarist and singer-songwriter from Limerick in the West of Ireland, Emma Langford's distinctive voice demonstrates a blend of Irish lilt with folk and jazz, and has been described by Phil Coulter as â€Å“a breath of fresh airâ€Â. Delicate guitar work complements an intuitive sense of melody. She has to date shared a stage with world-renowned artists such as Ron Sexsmith, Mary Black, Eddi Reader, Declan O'Rourke and Wallis Bird. Her debut album â€Å“Quiet Giantâ€Â was released in October 2017 to great critical acclaim. In the same month she embarked on a hugely successful month-long tour of Germany and Switzerland with the Irish Folk Festival, receiving rave reviews and breaking tour records for CD sales. In 2017 Emma was voted â€Å“Best Solo Female Artistâ€Â by Pure M Magazine. Joined at each juncture by a host of sensational vocalists and musicians, backed up by a stunning blend of strings and wailing electric guitar, this enchanting evening of songs and stories with two rising stars on the Irish folk scene is not to be missed. â€Å“I've known Sara since childhood. It's been a joy to witness her young career, to hear her songwriting develop and her singing mature. This young lady has a huge career ahead of her.â€Â -- Christy Moore (2018) "Emma Langford certainly knows how to weave magic and mystery through a tune... A beguiling, distinctive voice.â€Â â€â€œ Hot Press Magazine (2018)
